2019-12-09

Dear Veteran Tree Enthusiast,

VETcert update

I am pleased to be able to share an update on VETcert, including the publication of the final training materials and dates for our first exams

Training

In my last email, I shared with you the series of videos produced as part of the VETcert project. Since then we have finalised some other training resources including; case studies, fact sheets, pruning techniques slideshows, bibliography and glossary. These are available from the VETcert website:-

A new 2-day training course 'Understanding and Managing Veteran Trees' has been developed as part of the VETcert project. This course will be delivered in the UK by the Ancient Tree Forum. This course has been designed to help people towards the level required to pass the VETcert exam. It is not essential to attend training before you sit an exam, nor will the training course cover everything required for the exam. Further information will be circulated by the Ancient Tree Forum in the new year.

Examinations

The first VETcert exams will be held in early 2020 (See details below). Further information about the exams, including prerequisites, what exams will cover, etc. can be found on our website:-
